At Tennyson Road Primary School we believe that Physical Education is essential to the development of the whole child.
It provides the foundations to promote healthy lifestyles and develops character building, cooperation and self-esteem.
KS1 - This term during their P.E lessons, children in foundation stage and key stage 1 have been developing their fundamental movement skills. Running, jumping, throwing and catching have been our main focus as well as developing balance, agility and coordination. We have had busy, fun lessons where pupils challenge themselves using a range of equipment including bean bags and balls.
KS2 - This term during their P.E lessons pupils in key stage 2 have focused on games. Lessons have recapped existing skills of running, jumping, throwing, catching and applied them to game situations. Pupils have enjoyed taking on roles such as time keeper, scorer, referee and are able to give basic feedback on others sporting performance.
